On my 3am drive to work this morning, I was listening to an unplayed episode of Francesca Amber’s “Manifesting changed my life”. Fran was discussing an idea of “viewing life through the lens of love rather than hate.” It is a pretty similar to the “glass half full” concept.
Upon reflecting on this, I realised I used to ace this mindset. To the point I’ve been called “naïve”, “over trusting” “immature” and “lenient”. I saw the good in EVERYONE and yeah at times it led to disappointment. I have realised as of late that I have completely lost that lens of love. I find myself jumping to the worst possible conclusions. I imagine peoples worst judgments of me and honestly, I find myself making some pretty awful judgments too.
This week, I am challenging myself to not only change the lens I look at life through, but to also be aware and take note without self judgement on when my mindset is falling back into the “glass half full” or “lens of fear”.
How?
-2 deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth
-centre yourself, notice your weight on the ground.
-Now reflect:
-Is/how is this person or event impacting you
-Do you have all the facts to make this assumption
-Does your assumption take other’s feelings and situation into consideration
-Is your assumption raising your vibration
If it’s a no to raising your vibration, then lets rethink the situation through the “lens of love”.
